The best way
to benefit from the
Blood Type Diet is to
acquire recipes for your blood type which include the foods you love.
Dr. Peter D'Adamo recommends eating more beneficial and super beneficial
foods than neutral foods although the latter are important for variety. We
recommend that you acquire our six-page food list that groups the
beneficials separate from the neutrals for comparison. Not all of the
avoid foods are equal in terms of compromising one's immunity. Since the
red
flag avoid foods such as wheat and corn cause more
digestive-immune system problems it's best to begin there and do your best
to completely avoid them.
Although
we've heard many people comment when they look at their food list, that
there is nothing left to eat, the truth is that most people just aren't
eating enough of a variety of foods. Part of the challenge is that they haven't been spurred to investigate
new foods such as spelt or ezekiel as an
alternative to wheat. There are quite a few grains that are unfamiliar to
people; however, once you get out and shop at health food stores, it
doesn't take long to find these important wheat alternatives that are
surprisingly tasty as well as nutritious.
Depending
upon your culinary skills and how much time you want to spend in the
kitchen, people either prepare simple meals or if they have a favourite
dish, gradually over time begin to search out ingredients which can
replace the avoids. Either way, we applaud people's efforts. We also
extend a helping hand by offering a
30-Page Recipe package
which includes a variety of
dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks which is why every Recipe
Package we sell comes with a matching
Menu Planner
(as shown above).
The Recipe Packages
may be devoted to one blood type; however, quite often they contain
recipes which will match other blood types as well and that is because
some of them originated from Helen Luczak's
Simply Delicious &
Nutritious Cook Book
For example, the Type O or
A Recipe Package,
contains recipes which match both blood types and this is a good thing
since most people are
Type O or A. Same thing applies with Type B & AB where
there are similarities such as the cultured dairy foods like
kefir
and yogurt. The remaining recipes either contain ingredients that are
particularly beneficial for one blood type, like miso for Type A or beef
for Type O, or the recipe remains basically intact with the occasional
substitution.
We hope that
you are open-minded about trying new foods and recipes. We invite you to
take a look at a
preview of a few recipes to see what you
are buying. Happily, we can tell you that many clients have provided some
absolutely wonderful testimonials about the food they've tasted made by
Helen Luczak of the Centre for Healthy Living at her Lecture
Luncheon events or Eat Right 4 Your Type seminars. This is how some people
decided to be daring enough to try making their own recipes and when
wanting a "sure thing" have opted to purchase either the
Simply Delicious & Nutritious Cook Book
or the individual
Recipe Packages.
There are
two ways of obtaining our
30-page Recipe Packages.
First of all, you can click on our
Menu Planner Options
page to read the descriptions of our Basic and Deluxe Menu Planner &
Recipe Packages (there are four of them) OR you can go to our
Eat Right 4 Your Type
page to be introduced to The Blood Type Diet Collection CDs.
These four CDs are not audio CDs rather Data CDs meaning that they contain
PDF documents on disk. When you put the CD into your computer, you can
open up the Menu Planner & Recipe Package folder and find the documents
that you can either read on the computer or print off in hard copy.
We believe
that you will be happy with either product. For comparative purposes, we
can tell you that the
CD contains 200 pages of documents so
there is great value there. The very affordable
Menu Planner &
Recipe Packages
can be purchased either in hard copy or sent via email. Your questions are
welcome at:
helen@waytogonutrition.com.
In addition
to the Blood Type
Diet, we are working
on Menu Planners and Recipes for our
Live
Enzyme Cuisine
section. This refers to preparing food which has not had its most valuable
nutrient, the food enzymes, destroyed by cooking. The latter will be of
interest to vegans and raw foodists and just generally open-minded people
who are wanting to get energized. We also adhere to the principles
embraced by holistic culinary experts including food rotation,
acid/alkaline balance, and food combining.
Our good neighbours to the south, please visit our
Welcome America
page where you can download some sample pages AND shop, taking
advantage of some special pricing for the holidays.
Individualized Menu Planners Coming this Spring As there are
so many reasons why people choose a specific diet, our intention is to
develop Menu Planners and Recipe Packages that are geared towards people
who have specific goals, eg. for the physically active man in his twenties
or perhaps menopausal woman in her 50s. Keep checking for upcoming
announcements!
To
access the recipes which were featured on the A Channel Morning Show,
click here. The dips shown on your
left are the Goat Feta-Walnut Dip; Vegetable Nut Pate, and Spinach-Basil
Pesto. All of the veggie sticks with the exception of tomato are neutral
for all blood types. The spinach-based pesto sauce is lighter and more
fresher tasting than a regular pesto and spinach is also a super food.
Three Dips Served on
London TV Show
The
Date Walnut Squares were featured on the A Channel Morning Show on
Thursday, August 9th. The crust is made
with spelt flour, butter and sucanat (dehydrated organic sugar cane juice)
and the filling is dates, egg, puffed rice and walnuts. Walnuts are a
particularly healthy food for the colon for all blood types. This dessert
has been served at numerous Eat Right 4 Your Type seminars. Even people
who are not that fond of dates absolutely adore this recipe.
