Eyology and Sclera Analysis

An Eyologist is someone who is trained in both the sciences of Iridology and Sclerology. Whereas Iridology involves the assessment of the iris, Sclerology or the new term, Sclera Analysis, involves the assessment of the lines and various markings in the whites (or sclera) of the eye. Together, the clinical data which can be obtained provides a very accurate and thorough analysis of various organs and systems in the body which are stressed or congested. Often times the client receiving the assessment comments about various symptoms he/she is experiencing and how the interpretation given by the Eyologist also closely matches their history.

How does an Eyologist help?

Sclerology, the lesser known science, has been steadily gaining popularity since Dr. Leonard Mehlmauer, foremost expert in this field has been actively teaching practitioners world-wide during the past 10 years (www.eyology.com). Helen has been well trained in this specialty by Dr. Mehlmauer since 2000. Her method for helping people is that photos are taken with a special Nikon SLR camera  which has crisp, research-quality images and these photos (22) are viewed on computer with the client. The significant areas of stress and congestion in the body are identified and then a health program is designed to address what is currently going on. Clients provide history information and data concerning their diet and lifestyle, etc. as this information is key to support the Eyology findings.

At the time of booking, it is necessary to complete either a Men's or Women's Health questionnaire and either the Holistic Nutrition questionnaire which focuses on what's currently in your diet or the WISE Nutritional questionnaire (20 minutes of rating symptoms on a range of topics) which ultimately evaluates your nutritional strengths and weaknesses by generating a summary, chart and graph. Aside from London, Ontario, some services are provided in the following regions: Kitchener, Sarnia, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, Kleinburg, Ajax, Pickering and Markham. We welcome inquiries about our fall/winter calendar for dates re these cities.

October Special

The Eyology Special for this month is a choice of either a 30% discount  on a full Eyology Consultation or you can to get the WISE Nutritional Report system for free. Scroll down to view eye images and the Sclerology map. If you click on Eyology/Sclera Analysis on the left in the subject index you will go to another Eyology page where case studies can be viewed. To view the WISE Nutritional questionnaire, please click here.

Please note that both options represent a savings of approximately $50. Depending on your individual circumstances, we would be more than happy to recommend the option that is best suited to you. Additional savings can be enjoyed in the family plan (mini assessments for youth or discounts for couples). Appointments must be booked during the month of October (photographs taken with a deposit) and then the 2-hour assessment can be booked during November or December. For further details, please call 519 680-2884.

Sclerology is Iridology's Perfect Companion

Sclerology can:

  • Provide detailed information concerning what is happening now in the body
  • Verify and enhance data obtained by Iridology and other health evaluation modalities
  • Educate the client on potential health conditions before they manifest as symptoms

What Exactly Can be Seen in the Sclera?

  • Stress and congestion of any significance in every area of the body
  • The conditions and origin of disease in various organs and tissues
  • Tendencies for cardiovascular and neoplasm (cancer) challenges
  • Signs of parasites and bacteria and other micro-organisms in the body
  • The damage done by drugs, and each level of drug pathology
  • Emotional sensitivity and reactive-emotion-related disease

Sclerology can provide both basic and detailed information which verifies and enhances data obtained by Iridology. The Sclerology map was produced by Leonard Mehlmauer, ND of Grand Medicine in April 2000. www.eyology.com

The Grand Medicine Wall Chart features photos and mechanical images of the sclera (whites of the eye) with captions. Statistically, signs in certain areas show up more frequently: the lower bowels, thyroid, kidneys, prostate/uterus, pancreas, heart, stomach, lungs, liver and hypothalamus (the master gland in the brain).

Many eyologists opt to take digital camera photos of their clients eyes in order to be able to study the various markings and line configurations. Together the practitioner and client view these images on a computer screen. The interpretation of the lines and marking has been described by many as "fantastic" because of course many people see the correlation between what the eyes reveal and the symptoms they are experiencing and/or the verification of many factors which have been explored during the history taking.

What are we seeing in the photograph above? The heavy thicker, red lines showing in the right side of the lower left sclera of a 50-year-old female reveals significant congestion in the sigmoid and descending colon. The more prominent lines command more attention than the  lighter lines. The area nearest 5 o'clock represents the left ovary which is negatively impacted by bowel toxicity. Bowel cleansing is an example of one of the recommendations which would be given top priority. This could include colonics, herbal fibers, parasite cleanses and the application of hot castor oil packs to the abdomen. The lighter sclera lines on the left found in the rectum are of lesser concern because they signify a lesser degree of congestion. Originating in the rectum, the line then moves upwards towards the iris also passing through the kidney and stomach areas. The curve backwards at the end of the longest line reveals an immune compromise of the stomach. Enzymes play an important role in this Type B's program and more raw food in the diet including cultured foods like kefir are especially beneficial.
