Numerology in 2010 . . .  2010 is a "3" year. Let me show you how the calculations are done. Take each number separately and add them up until you arrive at a single digit. Sometimes you have to do the addition two or three times: 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 12, then 1 + 2 = 3. So that's how 2010  is shown to be a "3" year.  A great year for Communications!

I'd like to share a few thoughts on Numerology since this is a field of growing interest, it seems, in my life. That's because I've marveled at how accurate it is and how relevant as well in terms of being able to help people in their relationships, careers and ambitions. When positive things result after a numerology session it always reflects positively on people's health. For instance, a person who learns about this year being a Personal Year of 8 would be advised to take care of their physical health as they pursue the flow of money. Glynis McCants, the Numbers lady developed carpel tunnel syndrome in the year she wrote her book that delivered much prosperity.

How  much do you know about Numerology? Most people at least know that the birthday generates important numbers like the Lifepath Number (adding all numbers in the birthday, eg. Jan. 9th, 1999 would be 0 + 1 + 0 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 9). This is the most important number in your personal numerology and stands for that which you need to fulfill in order to be happy. If we compare to Astrology, it's like your sun sign. Using this same analogy, the moon sign equivalent would be your Attitude Number. This number is made up of birth day and birth month only (broken down to single digit) and it represents the first impression people have when talking to you.

Let's use a leading popular figure as an example. How about President Barak Obama? His birthday is August 4th (which happens to also be my birthday) and here's the calculation for August 4th: 0 + 8 + 0 + 4 = 12, then break it down again, 1 + 2 = 3.The 3 Attitude tends to be the charismatic type who has a sense of humor and likes to be the joker. They also have the Peter Pan syndrome which is they don't necessary grow up. When they're in a good mood, it's a big smile, bright eyes, and great conversation. If they're in a bad mood, you don't get to be happy around them. They have that effect on people. (quote by Glynis McCants, Numerologist)

Now that this charismatic leader is in office, everyone is wondering will he achieve everything he's promised in 2009, a year marked as the lion of economic discontent ready to be tamed. Did you know that everybody has a Personal Year cycle which matches their number and essentially provides an overview of how the year will flow. The description for each personal year is matched with  advice on what action to take or not take. The way the Personal Year number is determined is to add the current year's number (2) to the attitude number (Obama's 3). The personal year of 5 comes up.

What did 2009 as a Year 5 bring for the new president? The answer was a year of flux when it's best to remain light-hearted and not make any big commitments; whereas, 2010 being a 6 cycle year, the door opens wide for Obama to make commitments and be rewarded with great success. If Obama had a numerologist on staff (one never knows!) he would be advised to roll with 2009, have fun and travel the world, and get the payoff at the end of 2009 with the foundation having been placed for new opportunities in 2010.

I've been working with the numbers for the past year doing several numerology assessments and reports, and am discovering that this science is just amazing. People can be so accurately depicted by personality traits and how they appear to others according to the numbers. I feel a bit of a calling to this field because I have an interest and background in terms of having studied personality traits in relation to the Blood Type Diet and also Personality Iridology. It is absolutely remarkable how much overlap there is in terms of accurate descriptions.

When I tell people about their numbers, they are so surprised at what they hear and want to know more. This shouldn't come as any surprise since Numerology has been with us for at least 2,500 years. The originator or creator of the Pythagorean Number system is Pythagoras, a Greek mathematician born in the 6th Century BC.

What intrigues me the most about numerology is the concept of the vibration that people carry since birth. Believe me, I've checked numbers for a good many family members and friends, and even took the challenge of asking people I hardly know about their birthday numbers. I can tell you that my jaw has dropped more than once as I noticed how closely numbers coincide with the traits outlined in numerology. This is one side of the coin and the other is learning how to benefit from numerology insights to improve relationships, build strong careers, and basically live a fruitful life with joy and purpose.

When I'm educating people about this science; however, it seems that few people know very much about how the names a person uses (birth name, married name, nick names, etc.) can be matched to numbers based on the Pythagorean number system (numbers attached to each letter). That's how one comes up with the soul number, personality number, destiny, etc  There is something to be gained in every aspect of exploring the numbers . . . that I'm certain of. And what I hope will happen in 2009 is that I'm able to help more people find their way and fulfillment through the gift of numerology.
