With all of the publicity surrounding the
Swine Flu,
the topic of vaccinations
has come up quite a lot. I've been asked my opinion more than once
about the
safety of vaccinations and this particular one against
Swine Flu. I would not choose to have a vaccination because I am
quite frankly leery about all vaccinations, particularly this one.
I certainly haven't been convinced about its necessity; and I
believe wholeheartedly in alternative options which do not pose
the risk of serious side effects and I believe are highly effective.
I've used the word "believe"
twice in my statement and I'll explain why. If a person sincerely
believes that he/she may become very ill with the Swine flu or any
other flu, they may attract it. And this belief feeds the negative
emotion of fear that they could be be harmed. Perhaps you've heard
the expression "what one focuses on
expands". It all boils down to the
importance of getting educated and also taking stock of your
tendency to react vs. responding. Are you glued to CNN and
addicted to fear
and sensationalism.
Then turn off the TV!
If there is one
website
to visit to get
educated about vaccinations
and in
particular to know your rights with respect to when you can choose
to opt out, please visit
www.http://vran.org/exemptions. This British Columbia-based
organization has been advocating for Canadians' right to choose for
more than 25 years. I think they are one of the most reliable
organizations for providing information on this subject. Of course they are non-profit and
staffed with numerous volunteers.
Immunity is
tied to balanced emotions, to good
nutrition & lifestyle, etc. Holistic
Medicine always speaks about Mind,
Body & Soul. Keep this principle
first and foremost in mind. Although most of the download articles
we are offering pertain to vaccinations or
flu
remedies, a few will talk about the importance of
seasonal
detoxification,
vibrational medicine,
eg. the benefits of having regular
energy treatments or even practicing
specialized kinesiology.
The latter involves boosting immunity by tracing specific
meridians or rubbing neuro-lymphatic points where congestion is
blocking the flow of energy. If interested in
upcoming classes
on these subjects, email
luczak@rogers.com.
There is a lot of good information about
holistic nutrition on this website. For sake of brevity, I endorse
reading these two books:
Eat Right 4 Your Metabolic Type,
by Dr. Cass Ingram and Eat Right 4
Your Type by Dr. Peter D'Adamo.
of other recommended books on raw food, body ecology diet, etc.
which also gives website references too.

Green Smoothies are one of the best ways to boost your
nutritional status. The next class will be held Mon. Nov. 16th, 7-9
p.m.
Private lessons for making
green smoothies can also be arranged by calling 519 680-2884.
Another option which suits those at a long distance, is to
book a
Live Enzyme Nutritional Consultation.
This will be especially useful for people who already have a
commercial hi-speed blender. American
visitors, please
access your Consultation options.
Lowered immunity
also has to do with digestive system weaknesses, particularly where
there is an imbalance of parasites or opportunistic
candida. The topic of
Eliminating Candida & Parasites & Liver Health
is being presented by Helen Luczak on
Thurs.
Feb. 5th @7:00 p.m. at Old East
Studios as part of the
Health & Wellness Series.
Or you may wish to
either attend the
WISE Nutrition class on
Feb. 12th. The first step is completing the
WISE Questionnaire
to identify and rate various symptoms. Once completed, the
answers will be put into a data base to produce a summary report
with graphs and charts. The information gleaned will
identify nutritional deficiencies
and
health symptoms linked to specific diseases
or conditions, eg. heavy metals or auto-immune conditions, etc.
To
book
a private WISE Nutritional Consultation and
save $25 off
of a 90-minute appointment ($50 instead of $75), please
This offer is valid until February 29th, 2010.
