The best way
to follow a healthy diet is to draw on the strengths of your own
individual blood chemistry and incorporate foods which are classified as
beneficials
according to Dr. Peter D'Adamo's
Blood Type Diet. In
case you are new to this theory, please be aware that there is a lot of
information in the
Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type
section for you to read. Also, please be aware that the training and
seminar presentations which are offered through the
Centre for Healthy Living
are heavily based on Dr.
D'Adamo's research; however, we offer a slightly
modified version.
A
Menu Planner
provides a weekly
plan with suggested
recipes and foods to eat to guide you through the week. Each Menu Planner is
matched to a specific blood type. There is a variety of recipes for
breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to choose from, all matched to a
30-page Recipe Package.

page of the Type O package, please

Whereas some
people would choose to more closely
follow the Menu Planner which accompanies the Recipe Package others might
begin incorporate
new recipes
into the diet more gradually, choosing what is most appealing and taking
into consideration the availability of ingredients and time required to
shop for and prepare meals. If you are a
beginner
in the field of holistic nutrition, which means that you have not been
shopping for wheat-free grains or flour, and foods like quinoa, sucanat or
stevia are foreign to you, then you may be wise to purchase a
Menu Planner Nutritional Consultation
package where we counsel you on the
phone.
Although
we've heard many people comment when they look at their food list, that
there is nothing left to eat, the truth is that most people just aren't
eating enough of a variety of foods. Part of the challenge is that they haven't been spurred to investigate
new foods such as spelt or ezekiel as an
alternative to wheat. There are quite a few grains that are unfamiliar to
people; however, once you get out and shop at health food stores, it
doesn't take long to find these important wheat alternatives that are
surprisingly tasty as well as nutritious.
There
may be other blood types living under your roof and you are left wondering
how difficult it would be to follow the blood type diet. Here's the good
news. Many of our Packages
contain recipes which match other blood types. There are reference
notes which point to the substitutions.
We hope that
you are open-minded about trying new foods and recipes. We invite you to
take a look at a
preview of a few recipes to see what you
are buying. Happily, we can tell you that many clients have provided some
absolutely wonderful testimonials about the food they've tasted made by
Helen Luczak of the
Centre for Healthy Living
at her Lecture Luncheon
events or
Eat Right 4 Your Type
seminars. Her
Simply Delicious &
Nutritious Cook Book
is also a very popular item. Some of the recipes from the Cook Book have
been inserted into the 30-Page Recipe Packages.

Individualized Menu Planners Coming the Spring of 2008: As there are
so many reasons why people choose a specific diet, our intention is to
develop Menu Planners and Recipe Packages that are geared towards people
who have specific goals, eg. for the physically active man in his twenties
or perhaps menopausal woman in her 50s. Keep checking for upcoming
announcements!

left are the Goat Feta-Walnut Dip; Vegetable Nut Pate, and Spinach-Basil
Pesto. All of the veggie sticks with the exception of tomato are neutral
for all blood types. The spinach-based pesto sauce is lighter and more
fresher tasting than a regular pesto and spinach is also a super food.

The
Date Walnut Squares were featured on the A Channel Morning Show on
Thursday, August 9th. The crust is made
with spelt flour, butter and sucanat (dehydrated organic sugar cane juice)
and the filling is dates, egg, puffed rice and walnuts. Walnuts are a
particularly healthy food for the colon for all blood types. This dessert
has been served at numerous Eat Right 4 Your Type seminars. Even people
who are not that fond of dates absolutely adore this recipe.
