Eat Right 4 Your Type Training

Since Eat Right 4 Your Type was published in 1997, millions of people world-wide have been following Dr. Peter D'Adamo's Blood Type Diet either on their own or by following the advice provided by a natural health practitioner. One way of knowing whether you have sufficient information or resources to be highly successful with the diet, can be gauged according to how well you've kept pace with changes over the past decade. For instance, are you aware that there are actually 8 diets, not 4, since the publication of Live Right 4 Your Type which came out in 2001 announcing the secretor and non-secretor subtypes.

Did you know that Dr. D'Adamo has published more than 12 books in the past 10 years, including the super beneficials for cancer, diabetes, arthritis and heart disease. Is it time to opt for training with an experienced practitioner who can summarize what the full spectrum blood type diet offers plus become familiar with the Centre for Healthy Living's modified and enhanced approach. There are numerous testimonials to support that hundreds of people are happily using the blood type diet and enjoying the various resources provided over the years. This may be the year that you are meant to glean some specialized training.

For Toronto area training flyer, please click here. There is a class beginning next week -- Friday September 26th and Saturday, September 27th at Whisper Wellness in Kleinburg (near Major McKenzie & Hwy. 27). The first two days of the class will introduce the four blood groups and day 3 will pull it all together. In the GTA, Day 3 will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There may also be another day offered to conclude the training based on class preference.

Part of the attraction to Eat Right training is the opportunity for blood type diet specialists to purchase some copyright handout material. This includes menu planners and recipe packages as well as detailed information about health profiles, supplements, etc. Imagine how beneficial it will be to help guide your client if they have this information on hand either at the time of their health consultation appointment or should they come to your presentation. These materials can be viewed when you click here or just call us at 519 680-2884.

In London, BTD Training will be offered May 2nd & 3rd, 2009. For more information, please send an email to luczak@rogers.com requesting an information package. There is an attractive early bird special for registrations received prior to April 10th. Don't miss out!

Overview of Training

The first two days of training are devoted to learning the profiles for all 4 blood types and also the science and biochemistry, eg. secretor subtypes, lectin theory, and polyamines. The third day covers methods to modify and enhance the blood type diet for greater success and improved compliance. As has been the practice begun in 2008, non-practitioners may attend either Day 1 or Day 2 in London. Type O & A are covered on Day 1 and Type B & AB on Day 2. Day 3 is limited to health practitioners only because of the emphasis on getting help with using the blood type diet specialty in one's practice.

Menu Planners and Recipes which match the blood type diet will be covered and also discussion concerning the role of raw food and what a difference it can make. The latter is new material which has been added to the training as a result of the growing popularity of live enzyme food and green smoothies. The addition of more raw food in the blood type diet program is clearly an enhancement that will help people to reap greater health benefits. Classes are usually held in London, Kitchener, Oakville or Toronto. Those who enroll for the full three days will receive a 100-page training manual. If interested in receiving the outline for this course, please click here.

Upon completion of the course, a Certificate of Attendance is awarded and graduates also receive a special offer to purchase some educational handout materials which your clients will absolutely love receiving at their appointments or in classes, should you decide to teach. The samples which are shown through the link given above are for Type AB only. Practitioners may also purchase food lists, menu planners and recipe packages to use with their clients. To view the Menu Planner options page which describe the various packages from which your clients may choose, please click here.

Every participant receives a 100-page Training Manual which they treasure. Type AB Monika Carless, R.N.C.P. from Whole Earth Nutrition in Midland was trained at Toronto's Institute of Holistic Nutrition in 2006.

Last summer, the London class did an amazing job of keeping the potlucks at the Unity of London location interesting and varied with  tasty blood type compatible food. Denise, Type O, Terri, Type A, and Barb, Type B, gave the food a thumbs up.

The focus of the Eat Right 4 Your Type course is to prepare the practitioner to provide nutritional consultations based on the client's blood type. There is a component of role-playing exercises to introduce the newly blood-typed client to their new food program which is often practised with a great deal of laughter. Helen enjoys training and uses humour effectively to convey the challenges of working with the various "personality types" and keeping the biochemistry information understandable and useful without causing the clients to "glaze over". She utilizes N.L.P. to motivate and inspire the class and to date, the graduates have been submitting very positive surveys on their training experience.

According to the Centre for Healthy Living, about 50 per cent of people do not know their blood group, eg. whether they are a Type O, A, B or AB. To find out the statistics for each blood type, click here. Many health practitioners who want to help their clients find out what blood type they are either direct people to their family physicians, to contact Medical Records at Hospitals or the Blood Bank (provided they have been a donor). When these avenues are explored without success, blood typing services are offered. To receive Capillary Puncture certification, practitioners are referred to Robetech Institute in Toronto. Professional Health Products of Alberta sells the anti-A and anti-B reagents and blood kit supplies.

The Centre for Healthy Living provides additional training and support to help you source your materials and establish a protocol for testing the client. There are various workshops that can be taken to support the practitioner in launching their practices, particularly with regards to having copy written for brochures or design of reports, newsletters and promotional tools.

Understanding how clinics operate and office rental arrangements are handled, getting business licenses, signing up for GST and PST, etc. are all areas which can be explained and when necessary, referrals to professionals in the field are offered.

In particular, literally hundreds of handouts and forms related to the blood type diet have been developed over the years. They are available in hard copy or on disk according to specific categories, eg. super foods. Please ask for details and pricing. Likewise, health practitioners may become distributors of CDs in The Blood Type Diet Collection. Click here for details.

Sandra, Type B, is a medical technologist who is quite comfortable in taking blood samples.

Anti-A and Anti-B reagents were added to the two blood samples and voila, Type O .
